Christmas Decorations 2009

The day after Thanksgiving, Ian and I change out the scarecrows to angels (my favorite). When we first moved into our new house, barely no one on the street decorated their houses for Christmas. This year was amazing - nearly everyone decorated and it looked beautiful! Limos were constantly coming up and down our street to show off our lights and decorations!

The day after Halloween we change out our ghosts for scarecrows. These also dance around the tree and look totally cool. I wish I had better pictures - all the colors were so beautiful and bright.

Each year Ian and I (mostly Ian) put up dancing ghosts around our tree in our yard. We the holidays we change them out (scarecrows for Thanksgiving and Angels for Christmas). Here are the ghost for this year - ohh...very scary!! We added orange lights this year to give the ghosts a fiery glow.

Pumpkins and Corn Maze!

My husband and I went on a corn maze yesterday (Guinness World Record 2007 - largest corn maze in the world) at Cool Patch Pumpkin in Dixon, California. We had a great time! The maze was tricky and we relied on the map to navigate the twists and turns. It took us one and a half hours to complete the maze, which covered 43 acres. I highly recommend going to a corn maze if you have never done one before. We also picked out our pumpkins at a different pumpkin farm (Davis, California) and I can't wait to carve them! I plan on making spiced pumpkin seeds once we empty them out -- yum!!

Halloween Decorations

Each year my husband creates a fantastic Halloween display on our yard. The display is recreated for Thanksgiving (scarecrows) and Christmas (angles). I am amazed that he is so creative! I am so blessed!
